So this is your first look into wallpapering and how much it cost to wallpaper, and it can all seem a bit overwhelming! You need to think about; how much to buy, finding the right right professional to hang it and working out how much it cost to wallpaper overall to see if the whole idea is even within your budget!

How much does it cost to hang wallpaper?
This is the more straightforward answer so going to dive in to answer this one:
For installation to a wall in your home that is less than 10M2 the cost to wallpaper is $396 inc. GST
This is the average for wallpaper hanging in Queensland.
After 10M2 we charge by the M2.
There are a few factors that alter the rate such as; if there is a lot to cut around such as in a powder room, a staircase or a super high wall like an entry void or a ceiling. There are also a few wallpapers that take longer to install that affect the price. As well as your location; if you are out of our Brisbane radius for example.
How much does it cost to wallpaper?
In a wallpaper store in Australia a roll of wallpaper can cost as little as $120 and go upwards of $1000. The price is not an indication of quality. The more expensive are usually hand woven like a grasscloth or by a designer brand. Our average sale is $380 a roll.
Factors to consider when choosing wallpaper and looking at costing:
- Wallpapers have different widths and lengths so sometimes you can’t compare apples to apples as you may need different amounts of rolls for the same wall
- Measure properly to ensure you do not over or under order. This ensures you will stay in budget.
- Allow for wastage, above doors etc.
